About Us:
Nipper Knolls Equine Center, (NKEC) a 501-c-3 non-profit corporation was founded in 2015, to provide equine assisted services to children who otherwise would never know the enjoyment and benefits of riding and working with horses.
In 2017, we added an 8-week horsemanship/wagon driving class for military veterans. The veterans program was made possible by a generous donation of the Alfred Z. Solomon (AZS) Charitable Foundation and in turn was named after the benefactor.
In 2025, the therapeutic riding portion of the NKEC program was discontinued with NKEC continuing to offer weekly visits with two groups from the Community, Work and Independence (CWI) organization.
Also in 2025, we are excited to expand the veterans program to include police officers and Emergency Medical Technicians.
All lessons are provided on a 1:1 basis with a military veteran instructor and volunteers.
We are partnered with Saratoga and Washington-Warren County Peer to Peer Connection services.
NKEC is a 100% volunteer organization, and all funds received go directly into the program.
It is only through our network of dedicated volunteers and donations that we are able to provide these services.
Thank You for your support!!
